The United Democratic Party, UDP, has filed candidates for all the 8 available mayor and chairman positions across the country.
In Banjul, the party put up Rohey Malick Lowe, Talib Bensouda in KMC, Sheriffo Sonko in West Coast, Landing Sanneh LRR, Malamin IL Bojang NBR, Foday Danjo URR, Ebrima Janko Sanneh CRR South and Alfusainey Jobarteh CRR North.
Meanwhile the People’s Democratic Organization for Independence and Socialism, PDOIS, has filed nomination for Adama Bah for the KM region while Independent candidates Bakary Badjie, Fatima Sarr, Boubacar Senghore, Assan Martin and Francis Gomez all filed nominations on the same day.
The IEC will release the full list of candidates today.
