Who can stop Fortune?

Farato’s proud sons Fortune FC resisted and survived a fierce battle against Brikama United who wanted to cut their 7 points lead in Saturday’s’ fixtures in the GFF league. The match ended 1-1 but not before Fortune lost a man to Papa Gassama’s red card while its keeper escaped another.

The two teams, at first and second place in the table, are now considered to be the biggest rivals in Gambian football especially in a year when big names like Real de Banjul, GPA, GAF have lost their traditional fighting steam.

Fortune saluted the point against Brikima United on its Facebook page with a screaming post: “You can’t hate these players. From losing a player (red card) in the 17th minute of the game, to containing and scoring a stunner against Bikama United shows how collective this team is. Great team performance, boys!

Bernard Sylva once more proved what a talent he is!

We still lead by 7points”.
