Young Africans Football class yesterday bade farewell to one of its pioneers, Willy Wright who died last week. Also the team has permanently retired the Number 5 Jersey worn by Wright in his playing days. This is the first time in Gambian football history that such a thing is being done .
There will never be a Number 5 again in Young Africans. We sent it away with its rightful owner in recognition of his dedication to the team and his untiring efforts for the Father Gough nation, a statement from the club read.
