The annual inter-bank football tournament, the Governor of the Central Bank trophy, will start on Friday between Central Bank of The Gambia and Eco Bank.
The tournament is organised by the Central Bank, in memory of the late governor of Central Bank of The Gambia, Famara Jatta.
The tournament is also meant to promote greater cooperation among the bankers.
Momodou Sanyang, chairperson of the Organising Committee said the opening game will be played at the QCity Sports Complex in Bijilo at 4:30pm.

He said 13 banks are going to participate in the tournament and they are expecting heads of banks and the Governor of the Central Bank to attend the opener.
Guaranty Trust Bank are the current champions.
