A recent fire outbreak has left three people with injuries and burned the compound to ashes in Latri Kunda Sabiji.
According to tenants, the cause of the fire is still not known.
The tenants told The Standard that the fire, which started at 2pm, could not have been caused by electricity because the compound is not wired.
Bintou Touray, a tenant, explained: “I was praying in the room when my kids stood at the door and shouted that there was fire.”

“I lost everything to the fire. The only thing I am left with are the clothes I am wearing,” she said.
Mustapha Fatty, Bintou’s husband, said all they need is help.
Amie Njie, also a tenant, shared a similar story.
