Eight former staff of The Gambia Milling Corporation Ltd, the only flour processing company in the country has sued its management claiming wrongful dismissals among other things, The Standard has learned.
A source said the aggrieved employees also alleged that the GMC management discriminates against women employees and since they are reluctant to grant maternity, leave they hardly consider recruiting women.
An official of the company contacted by The Standard declined to comment on the matter since the employees are said to have sued the company.
