Determined to regain its lost crown, the former ruling Alliance for Patriotic Re-orientaion and Construction, APRC, this week launched its ‘Back to State House’ campaign.
Addressing the launching, former parliament speaker and APRC founding member Fatoumata Jahumpa-Ceesay urged the party members and sympathisers at home and abroad to donate at least D100 towards the party’s forthcoming tour and voter registration mobilisation efforts. She commended the women folk of the party for their continuing loyalty to the party.
APRC leader Fabakary Tombong Jatta appealed to his party supporters to remain law-abiding and register en masse in this month’s voter registration exercise.
The launching continued yesterday at Sibanor in Foni where supporters from all the five Foni constituencies converged.
The gathering was addressed by the APRC deputy party leader, Borry Colley, former women’s mobiliser Isatou Jifanga Jarju and Obama Badjie who all called for unity among the party’s supporters across the country.
