By Maimuna Sey-Jawo The People of Kere Gumalo in Central Badibou are reeling from a shock over the weekend after armed robbers attacked the village and did away with lots of money. The robbers also left three people injured who are now in hospital. Police PRO Foday Conta said Monday that the attackers first targeted the Police Intervention Unit base in the village before going on the rampage inside the village. “It is clear how that encounter ended but they proceeded to take some D342, 000 and D181, 000 from the shops of Seedy Muhammed Salleh and Muhammed Lamin Hydara, respectively. Both shop- keepers were injured in the robbery alongside a PIU officer during their first encounter. No arrest has been made yet but a case file has been open and investigations are ongoing with a view to tracing the suspects and brought them to justice,” he said.
