Barrow to face ex-club Swansea in EFL Cup

Gambia winger Modou Barrow is set for a reunion with former club Swansea City who have been drawn with Reading FC in the third round of the English Football League Cup (EFL).

Barrow featured for the Royals who beat Millwall 3-1 in extra time on Tuesday night which was enough to earn them a pairing with Swansea with the tie taking place at the Madejski Stadium on September 18.
But what makes this tie more special is the fact that the 24-year-old Scorpions international Barrow, who left the Swans less than four weeks ago, will welcome his former club to his new stomping ground with a view to showing why they were wrong to let him go.

The former Östersunds FK forward, who left Swansea after four years, has had a good start to life in the Championship after featuring in Reading’s past four matches, clocking 288 minutes and scoring his first goal in a 2-1 home win over Aston Villa last week.
Meanwhile, Mustapha Carayol’s Nottingham Forest will face a tough task as they travel to Stamford Bridge to face Premier League champions Chelsea on the same night.
