Reliable sources have informed The Standard that President Barrow has appointed the five nominated members he is mandated to add to the 53 elected members of the National Assembly.
According to our sources, the five are Majanko Samusa, a former National Assembly member of the National Convention Party, Momodou Lamin Sanneh, a former UDP minority leader, Aja Yam Secka, a prominent UDP Women leader, Mariam Denton, a prominent female lawyer and long-standing UDP activist and Kumba Jaiteh, who works at the Gambia Competition Commission.
