Cuba congratulates Gambia on 57th independence anniversary

Cuba congratulated The Gambia on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of its independence to be celebrated tomorrow, February 18th. A message has been sent from the government of Cuba to the government of The Gambia. 

In the cordial letter, the president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, conveyed congratulations to the Gambian head of state, Adama Barrow, for the important historical date, and reiterated the will of his government and people to continue expanding the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The minister of foreign affairs of the Antillean archipelago, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, did the same to his counterpart, Foreign Minister Mamadou Tangara and in addition to congratulating him, also expressed his intention to strengthen the historical ties between the two nations.

The Gambia and Cuba maintains very positive diplomatic ties based on mutual precepts of solidarity and brotherhood, and are working to intensify collaboration in various spheres.
