Gambian striker Lamin Jawo has joined Italian third-tier club FeralpiSalò on a season-long deal from second-tier Carpi FC.
The 22-year-old, who was on loan at third-tier Robur Siena last season, has been sent out again in search of regular first-team football at Lombardy-based Feralpi, who have an option of turning the loan permanent.
At his unveiling by the club, Lamin, said: “I’m delighted to be here and I think this will be a positive year. I have come to an environment where there is enthusiasm and confidence.”
“Everyone welcomed me with great affection. I look forward to being at the disposal of the coach and working with one goal that is to get as high as possible in the standings. Since I was little, I did not have the chance to do what I wanted, I decided to risk life to get to where I am today.”
Jawo guided Carpi FC to a 4-0 win over A.S. Livorno in the Coppa Italia two weeks back.
