French embassy Chargé d’affaires visits Standard

Jean-Charles Allard, Chargé d’affaires at the French Embassy covering The Gambia, yesterday paid a courtesy call on the Standard Newspaper.

Allard, who was taken on tour of the newspaper’s production line of staff and equipment, said he follows the Gambian media regularly and felt it proper to visit the institution to touch base with them.

Mr Allard was received and welcomed to The Standard premises by General Manager Pa Sallah Jeng, who led him on a tour of the building and the various departments starting with the editorial where editor Lamin Cham explained the work of the reporters.  Mr Allard expressed delight in his visit and thanked the staff of The Standard for a warm and cordial reception.
