The president of the Senegambia based G-Tech Football Academy Enakeno Arausi has returned from an official visit to Turkey as guest of the Besiktas Under 19 Youth football club in Esenyurt. While in Turkey Mr Arausi also visited Cartal Sports Club owned by Ahmet Calisir who is also the head of the Besiktas Under 19 football club.
Speaking to The Standard on his return, Mr Arausi said the visit was very fruitful as it now lays a foundation for a future relationship that will be of mutual benefit to both Gambian players and the two clubs in Turkey.
“We have been able to come to terms to conduct trial missions by players from the Gambia to Turkey where they would be exposed to football scouts and technicians from many quarters, ” Mr Arausi said.

He disclosed that under the arrangement, G-Tech will register and select talented players from both its academy and elsewhere. “Once the selection is done, the most talented of the players will be sent to Turkey for the trials. Our first trip will be in January 2019 and we are hoping that by that time we would have completed registration and our selection process,” he said. The G-tech boss said this is a good opportunity for Gambian players and he thanked Mr Calisir, his assistant Ese Onayomake and their staff for their great hospitality and guidance. While in Turkey Mr Arausi took time to scout many other sports clubs including a sight-seeing trip to Galatasaray.
He concluded by inviting players and managers to take advantage of this opportunity for the greater development of the Gambian football. Visit www.gtechfc.org for details.
