Gambia appoints Belgian coach Saintfiet

The Gambia Football Federation yesterday announced that in consultation with the Honorable Minister of Youth and Sports, the service of Mr. Tom Saintfiet has been secured as the Senior National Team Coach of the Gambia for a period of nine months.
Meanwhile, GFF will pay the salary of the coach and other associated costs, whiles the Gambia Government is trying to secure funding to take over its responsibilities and all other necessary costs related to the Coach and National teams.

Name: Tom Saintfiet
D.O.B: 29th March 1973
Nationality: Belgian
Languages: Dutch, English, French, German Spanish
Qualification: UEFA PRO License
Job Experience: Senior National Team Head Coach of Malta, Trinidad and Tabago, Bangladesh, Togo, Malawi, Yemen, Ethiopia, and Zimbabwe.

Mr. Tom has a wide range of knowledge and experience in coaching National Teams across the world, particularly in Africa. Given his vast knowledge and experience in coaching we trust that he will help advance all aspect of Gambian football during his reign.
The unveiling of Tom Saintfiet, will take place on Thursday afternoon. The place and time will be communicated later to all the stakeholders and the general public.

The Gambia Football Federation would like to thank the Government of The Gambia through the pragmatic new Minister of Youth and Sports Hon. Hadrammeh Sidibeh for the collaboration and support rendered to the Federation during the recruitment process of the National Team Coach.
