Established this year with a slogan “Hope, Commitment , Achievement”, Senegambia College, the only college that provides degree programme in various field of studies has promised to provide affordable and quality education to Gambians and non-Gambians, the executive chairman of IBIS International Business Trust told The Standard recently at the college campus located along the Coastal highway, Kotu East.

According to the chairman , Tony Johnson, his vision for establishing this new college in the new Gambia is to provide new hope for the youth of The Gambia who are increasingly disappointed at the huge cost of studies overseas and the near impossibility of gaining a student visa these days.

“A chance to gain a first degree here, followed by a Masters, with the emphasis on business to create a future for you in work or in your own enterprise, here or internationally. Our aim is to provide the best quality higher education in The Gambia. You can be sure of a warm welcome here, especially if you follow our motto which is ‘Hope, Commitment, Achievement’.  What this means is if you have hope, and work hard you will succeed,” Mr Johnson said.

Funded by IBIS [UK], managed by young and enthusiastic Gambians governed by board members, the college is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs [ACBSP] which was founded in Kansas City, MO in 1988 at the time when there was very little oversight of business schools across the country.

The college provides wide range of international qualifications and degrees such as BTEC Higher National Diploma in Business Management, Tourism Management which both lead to a one-year Bachelor’s in Business Administration [BBA] and Master’s in Business Administration.
