The Social Security & Housing Finance Corporation (SSHFC) Monday launched a new communication strategy dubbed ‘Let’s Chat Initiative’ to enhance effective engagement with members.

The new initiative will serve as a communication platform for members of the corporation. It will also serve as an information-sharing platform where all members can log in and access relevant feeds about the corporation’s services and ask questions or make suggestions.

The corporation has commenced holding virtual meetings with member institutions on its various schemes.

The SSHFC director of corporate affairs, Fabuka Njaay said the new initiative will undoubtedly ease communication between the corporation and its esteemed members.

“It will help members to access timely information about their contributions, conditions, requirements and all other SSHFC schemes,” Njaay said.

The experienced communication strategist said the corporation has developed “a communication strategy to ensure regular engagements with members’ online/offline forums, meetings, email and SMS marketing, social media engagements as well as traditional communication tools”.

He said members who are 60-65 years old will also be engaged through the new platform.

“We will engage and sensitise them both online and offline on how the schemes work and what are the expectations,” he said.

Njaay said through mutual and interactive engagement with members, the corporation would continue to co-create values with them by imparting members’ suggestions and recommendations in the main service delivery process.

“We believe that quality service is best defined by the customers/members. I am happy to tell you that members were happy and have shown commitment to the new initiative,” he said.
