Ms Singhateh arrived in the Asian country on Monday and had meetings with the director-general of Malaysia’s Sharia’h Judiciary Department (JKSM), Tan Sri Ibrahim Lembut.
“We’re here not only to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries but also to seek technical support to further develop the Sharia’h system in The Gambia,” she told Malaysian journalists.
“I note that JKSM has great experience in the Sharia’h system and we have a lot to learn from you in order to develop our jurisprudence.”
