Yusupha Susso, a Gambian based in Italy is at loggerheads with Banjul airport authorities over his missing money and items.
Speaking to The Standard yesterday, Mr Susso said he landed at the Banjul Airport on May 12th May, and learned from his airline that his two-bag luggage was to arrive four days later.
He said when he went to collect his bags at the airport, the authorities only gave him one bag, instead of the two he was expecting.

“I asked for the missing bag and was told it has not arrived but to my surprise, the register they showed me indicated that both bags have arrived on the same day,” he said.
Susso said after some vigorous search, the bag was recovered but was broken into and four mobile phones and £1800 went missing.
He said he reported the matter to the CID officers at the airport who have since promised to talk to all relevant authorities involved in the handling of luggage and get back to him. Mr Susso vowed to take the matter to the highest level in order to make the airport safe for all travellers.
