Following the announcement by the National Sports Council disclosing that it has sanctioned an investigation into the Gambia Football Federation matters, the GFF is said to have written back to the body with its response.
Over the weekend, the NSC said in a press release that it has instituted an investigation into the GFF’s handling of the matters dealing with the National Technical Training Center project and the regional football elections among other things. The Standard understand too that a panel of investigators will soon be set up to the job.
However last night a reliable source close to the NSC confirmed that a response indeed arrived at the NSC from the GFF. Asked what issues have been raised by the GFF, our source said those details were not available for consumption now. Another source said the GFF has responded that that among other things the NSC has no mandate to subject them to such an investigation and they will not recognise the investigations. Some other sources hinted that the GFF is contemplating taking legal action on the matter.
