Imam’s s son drowns at sea

The late Saidou Jawo is son to one Ebrima Jawo, imam of a mosque in London Corner. Speaking to The Standard, Ismaila Jawo, a brother to the deceased, said young Saidou went beachcombing in the evening by Palma Rima Hotel with his friends. “While they were swimming, he suddenly drowned in the deep waters of the sea. His body washed ashore later the same day and it was taken to Serekunda general hospital in Kanifing. His remains were later interred Monday at the Bundung Muslim cemetery.
