The state, represented by principal state Counsel A.M Yusuf, yesterday tendered the postmortem report of late Ousman Koro Ceesay before Justice Ebrima Ba Jaiteh of the High Court in Banjul.
The post mortem report was tendered through one Dr Abdoulie Badjan, head of Pathology Department at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital who testified as the 8thprosecution witness in the ongoing murder trial involving Yankuba Touray, ex-AFPRC junta member charged with the murder of Ousman Koro Ceesay in June 1995.
The witness told the court that the document is the original copy of the deceased’s post mortem report which had been in their custody and he indicated that it was conducted by Dr Oldfield, who is now deceased.
The report was admitted in evidence and the matter was adjourned to 21st May, 2020 for the prosecution to call the last witness.
Meanwhile, defence counsel Abdoulie Sissoho, who had on the last adjourned date announced his withdrawal of representation for Yankuba Touray, is still representing Touray.
Lawyer Sissoho has not filed a notice of withdrawal as directed by the Judge.
