One Muhammed Jallow, 27, from Lamin has been arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court accused of breaking into the Trust Bank- Lamin branch, assaulting and causing actual bodily harm.
Appearing before Magistrate T Davies Wilson, Mr Jallow pleaded not guilty to the charges.
However, he pleaded guilty to count one, which is assault causing actual bodily harm.
According to the particulars of offence filed by police prosecuting officer ASP Buteh Sawaneh, the incident happened on July 5 at Lamin Trust Bank, when Mr Jallow unlawfully assaulted one Muhammed Colley a bank security officer by stabbing him with a knife in his neck, after which he broke into the bank.
The case was adjourned to 3 August with the accused remanded at Mile 2 Central Prisons.
