Pressed for more information on the case, Mr Kujabi conceded he was constrained to reveal more owing to the paucity of information at his disposal at the time but said: “Right now I cannot say much because I do not have the case file. It is still with the police in Mansakonko so I do not have access to the statements of the witnesses who talked to the police. The post-mortem report will be ready tomorrow.
Right now we cannot say anything as a matter of fact because all what we are hearing is speculation. I can only tell you the facts when I have the case file with the autopsy report on Wednesday.”
However reports reaching this newspaper state that the insane patient died after Karamo Njie administered some “corrective, punitive measures” on him after he violently attacked a villager.
