Mayoral aspirant Bensouda donates to Serekunda Market

Mayoral aspirant Talib Ahmed Bensouda, through his charitable foundation Gamsense, this week donated 100 waste bins to the Serekunda Market Foundation.
Mr Bensouda advised the market foundation to make proper use of the bins and he used the occasion to reveal the “so many things” he has in store, designed for the development of women and young people”.
Market Manager Dodou Gomez, thanked Mr Bensouda, who is also the CEO of Safaro Trading LTD, for his “kindness and patriotism”.

“Serekunda Market is without doubt the biggest and busiest market in our municipal, which means thousands of people visit the market on a daily basis resulting in huge amounts of waste being generated,” he said in reference to the significance of the donation.
Salama Njie of KMC, also spoke at the event.
Gambia Sensible Solution, Gamsense, is a non-profit foundation founded this year in February. It aims at focusing on providing hygienic products in areas where women and youths spend most of their times.
