Gambia striker Musa Barrow has joined Saudi Arabian side Al Taawoun on a three-year deal, signing from Italian Serie A side Bologna.
Barrow is the third Gambian to join the emerging Saudi Pro League this summer after his compatriots Assan Ceesay and Muhammed Badamosi moved there earlier in the transfer window.
Musa joined Bologna from Atalanta whom he signed for first as a youth team player from Hawks in the Gambian league. He went on to impress at youth level before making his professional debut and his subsequent move to Bologna.
After the completion of the deal, Barrow is now expected to travel to Morocco to link up with his Scorpions teammates ahead of the crucial TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Congo, with Tom Saintfiet’s charges needing only a point to secure their second straight Afcon appearance.
