New Spanish company eyes 100 models for upcoming event

By Juldeh Njie Beauty of Gambia, a Spanish non-profit company, is targeting 100 Gambian models for its upcoming modeling competition slated for January 10th this year. The aim of the company according to officials, is to promote Gambian artists as musicians, models, craftsmen, painters, fashion designers among others. “Our first project is directed to the young Gambian boys and girls who would like to be models, we are looking for those who always wanted to be in the fashion industry,” a statement from the company said. “We will have a contest with 100 participants who will send us their best photos, these photos will participate in a contest where only two will be chosen as winners and will receive the sum of €1000 each, as well as an advertising contract for a Spanish tourist company”, it states. The company would also seek to promote hotels, beaches, restaurants, bars, and places of entertainment and many other beautiful things to see in The Gambia. “Our purpose is to promote The Gambia worldwide, and so we have people working with us in Germany, France and Italy and we will continue to expand. “Those who are not elected will be able to participate in many more projects later on, as we will have their contacts with our administration.
