A South African forensic expert, Dr. Segaran Ranalu Naidoo who conducted autopsy on the remains of late Ebrima Solo Sandeng, yesterday told the Banjul High Court trying 9 men for his murder that Sandeng may have died of physical assault.
Dr. Naidoo, who was giving evidence for the prosecution, said Sandeng’s death was consistent with blood loss following physical injuries.
He further stated that should the circumstances and context of the death as provided be confirmed, he would have died from physical torture.
He said when he and two other experts visited the Gambia in 2018, they were briefed by the Attorney General on the history before anything and were also provided videos.
