Police Spokesperson, Superintendent Lamin Njie has confirmed that a joint police investigation is ongoing into a reported armed robbery near Sukuta on Saturday.
On that day, it is reported that armed robbers attacked a vehicle carrying staff of AMM Financial Service and Bureau De Change and robbed them of D6.5 million.
“We can confirm having a report of the said armed robbery and the police have instituted a joint panel of investigators looking into the matter and investigations are ongoing and also the Anti-crime unit of the police is equally tracking and following. The panel is working, so we hope soon they will be able to put something together that we can share with the public,” PRO Njie explained. Modou Lamin Saho, a staff of the Bureau, told journalists that the incident happened after work on Saturday as the staff were escorting money to the house of their CEO in Sukuta.
