Professional Taekwondo Club to stage training demonstration Sunday

The Professional Taekwondo Club will on Sunday stage a training demonstration at the West Field Monument . The demonstration is a public event, where Taekwondo athletes, in teams, showcase and perform drills in a synchronized manner with intense rhythm and harmony.
According to the organizers the event is also designed to educate the public about the real value of Taekwondo with a view to eliminate the lingering negative perceptions surrounding martial arts in The Gambia.
The demonstration will cover basic techniques, arranged sparring, formations, self-defence among others.
Some 30 students will take part, from white belt, to black belt in both male and female categories. Proceedings start at 5 PM
