Reason & Wisdom Association, a non-profitable organisation formed in July 2016 with the vision and mission to give aid to the needy Saturday commemorated its one-year of existence.
As part of events marking their one-year anniversary, the association donated D10, 000 to the Banjulinding hospital and one of the association’s stalwarts as charity.

The association also held a daylong symposium to discuss their challenges and the way forward.
The symposium, held at Lamin Village, discussed a range of topics, ranging from a general discussion on Islam and women’s education by Sheikh Abdul Ghafarr Corr, views from women and participants abroad and many other topics.
At the end of the symposium, people were given chance to ask questions and answers were given by the facilitators.

Speaking in one of the presentations at the hospital, the President of the Dawa Committee, a subcommittee of the Reason & Wisdom Association Musa Kanteh said the donation was meant to assist the underprivileged who normally get stranded at the hospital looking for medical treatment.

He said often people will come to the hospital and will not be able to buy medications. He said the Association members joined hands and raised the sum of D5000 to give the hospital to provide those in need.
Amadou Wurry Krubally, the Officer in Charge at the hospital said the cash received will solve the needs of the people who come to the hospital without materials especially those in the maternity ward.
He said they will use part of the money to provide some of the drugs lacking at the Hospital and to provide blankets, mattresses and other needs for women in the maternity.

Mr Krubally added that the cash will also be used to provide other things that are not available to the patients coming to the Hospital.
He thanked the association for their kind gesture and reassured them that the money will be put into good use.
