The 8th Scholar Athletes camp will end sessions this afternoon at the Independence Stadium. The closing ceremony, expected to start at 3 pm will mark the formal closing of of this year’s weeklong camping.
On Wednesday, on day three of the camp, the campers visited the Brufut Gardens Estate constructed by Taf Holdings, beginning with Mall and then to magnificent buildings contained in Gardens one, of the finest building units in The Gambia. Whilst there, the CEO of Taf Holdings and Taf African Homes, Mustapha Njie used the occasion to present a D100,000 cheque to the Campers as his donation to their endevours.
SAC officials thanked Mr Njie for his great contribution in cash and in inspiration to the camp.
From the Brufut Gradens, the Campers continued to the Qcell sports complex at the Brusubi Turntable, where they were taken on tour of the facility and treated to a fabulous lunch.
Qcell CEO Mr Muhammed Jah was out of town but his officials received and treated the campers with great hospitality. The camp officials thanked the Qcell management for their contribution before proceeding back to base at the stadium
