Alhaji Sosseh Colley, a respected elder in Bakau has praised philanthropist Momodou Turo Darboe for his continuous assistance to him and his family.
Turo Darboe, who has been a household name distributing aid to thousands of communities across the country, dished out meat to Muslims in observance of Lailatul Qadr, the Night of Power.
Sosseh praised his nephew Turo Darboe for giving him a cow which he shared among his community in Mamakoto and Katchically in Bakau.
“He has been there for me and for every Muslim in this country. Allah enjoined us to be kind to our parents; Turo Darboe has fulfilled that. I can only pray for him,” Mr Colley said.
“He has done more than enough for me and I am proud of him. This is not the first time. This is a yearly activity. He gives me sugar in Ramadan which I redistribute in the community. He also gives me a cow when it is time for Lailatul Qadr. This is huge and I want him to know that I am proud of him,” he added.
Mr Colley prayed for Turo’s good health and for Allah to increase his wealth.
