GAMBIA TO MAKE GHANA TRIP ANYWAY

Despite suggestions that the Under-17 team gunning for a place in the female world cup next year should have been withdrawn from it the very day they lost 5-1 to Ghana in Banjul, the return leg will go ahead.
The Gambia Football Federation GFF yesterday announced the team will travel to Ghana tomorrow to take on the Black Maidens on Saturday 23 December in Cape Coast.

The GFF said the girls are hopeful to over turn the 5-1 heavy loss to Ghana.
It said the girls are gingered with the possible return of captain and play maker Aminata Camara, who missed the home leg due to bereavement.
Aminata together with Ola Buwaro and Catherine Jatta scored Gambias goals when the team deservedly outclassed Sierra Leone in the first outing of the series.
