Scorpions forward Bubacarr Trawally fired in his sixth goal of the season in Yanbian Fude’s 3-1 cruising over Tianjin TEDA on Wednesday morning.
Yanbian, who have not won a game since July 8, brought their five-game winless run to an end at the Yanji Nationwide Fitness Centre Stadium but it didn’t come without scare as the visitors took the lead through Yang Liyu in the 23rd minute.
But the hosts fired back six minutes after the break through Jin Bo, with Steve providing the assist before taking the lead through Chi Zhongguo in the 70th minute.
The Gambia international put the icing on the cake three minutes from time by rounding off the keeper to coolly slot in for his sixth goal of the campaign in 19 appearances.
The result was very vital for the home side but is still a long journey ahead for them to avoid relegation as they lie bottom on the standings with 13 points after 21 matches.
