Bubacarr Trawally continues to be making waves in the Chinese Super League after he fired his eight goal for Yanbian Fude in their 1-1 draw at Changchun Yatai.
Steve, who scored in last week’s 3-1 home win over Tianjin Teda, gave the bottom-placed team the lead in the 54th minute, tapping in a cross from the left.
But his withdrawal by coach Park Tae-ha in the 74th minute due to a groin injury, gave the home side the advantage to level matters four minutes from time through former Watford and Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo and to ensure they leave the Development Area Stadium with spoils shared.
Steve, who has made 20 appearances so far, is levelled with Turkey striker Burak Yilmaz on eight goals, meaning he now averages a goal every other game.
But he is still 15 goals shy of being the Chinese Super League top scorer to he is expected to better his eight goal last season for Yanbian with eight matches remaining.
