The gates are open at the Independence Stadium for Sunday’s potential thriller between champions Gunjur who are keen to show that their crown last year did not come by chance and the ever-flamboyant Bakau side, known for gallantry at home and passionate supporting in the stands.
‘”We have barely picked a team but we never fail to progress from the first stage no matter how slow,” one Bakau official commented. Since winning the title last year, Gunjur officials have never dropped their guard and have deployed a special group of technicians to watch the entire the nawettan in the village scouting players for the Super Nawettan.
