Vision Development Foundation, VDF, the Serekunda based charity yesterday sponsored the operation costs of some 100 patients at the the Serekunda Generation Hospital’s surgery camp.
The outgoing chief executive officer of the hospital Dr. Saidu Beyai, extended appreciation to the VDF for the unique and rather innovative way of supporting the under privileged in society.
“We have decided to organise this surgery camp and asked philanthropists like Modou Turo Darboe and his VDF to support it so that those in need of medical attention can access it no matter their financial status,” Dr Beyai said.
He also thanked Unique Solutions and The Conteh family for contributing too to the camp.
According to Dr. Beyai, the camp will now be an annual event.
The CEO of VDF Modou Turo Darboe was represented by his PRO Saihou Fofana, who expressed VDF’s delight to be a sponsor of this important activity. He commended the concept of the camp saying it will help speed up health care delivery.
The incoming CEO of the Serekunda General Hospital Kebba Manneh expressed appreciation to Momodou Turo Darboe and VDF for their continuous support to the needy people.
