The Brikama African dream project center continued their developmental action with a 3 day- camp they called volleyball summer camp” at the Box bar.
The camp which ended Sunday brought together dozens of pupils from around West Coast Region who attended a series of trainings and lectures under the mentorship of volleyball coach Mbye Deme from Senegal assisted by Pa Barrow among others.
Deme, who also serves as the Director of FIVB development Center in Dakar conducted trainings on drills, service, digging among others.
Speaking at the closing ceremony Bai Dodou Jallow acting president of GVBF, applauded Mr Deme for his contribution to the development of volleyball in The Gambia. “We are grateful for your time and effort and we appreciate this toward the development of the sport,” he said.
Jallow also thanked the organizers under for coming up with the brilliant idea of organizing the summer camp.
Training instructor Mbye Deme urged the participants to continue working hard and train hard to raise the flag of the Gambia. He sent gratitude to Gambia volleyball federation for the tremendous amount of work they doing in the Gambia.
Participants were awarded certificates at the end of the event.
