Police prosecutor ASP Almameh Manga yesterday urged the magistrate court in Kanifing to adjourn the trial involving ex AFPRC junta member and Minister Yankuba Touray for a reasonable time to press more charges against the accused.
Touray is charged with one count before Isatou Janneh-Njie of Kanifing for alleged tampering with a TRRC witness, a charge he denied.

He was since granted bail for D1 million and restrained from travelling outside the country.
When the case resumed yesterday police prosecutor ASP Manga informed the court that the prosecution would require adequate time to avail them opportunity to amend the charges against the accused because “Investigations have taken new dimensions and new facts started to emerge in the case.”

Lawyer Abdoulie Sissoho, counsel for the accused didn’t object to the plea but urged the court to speed up the trial in the interest of justice.
The case resumes on Friday 22 March at 11 am.
