The Board of Directors of Guaranty Trust Bank has named Abolaji Isiaka Yusuff as its new Managing Director, The Standard has learnt. According to our source, this was announced at the board’s recent meeting held at its Kairaba Avenue head office.
Mr Yusuff has been an executive director of the bank for the last seven years, and served as deputy to two former managing directors including Adesina Adebesin, who was recently asked by the Central Bank to leave following countrywide sit-down strike by staff members.
Mr Yusuff’s appointment, which is widely hailed by the staff, is awaiting Central Bank confirmation. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, with over 20 years of banking experience.
