The National Assembly members yesterday approved D200, 000 motion for the increment of remuneration for the members of the Janneh Commission of Inquiry.
Abubacarr Tambadou, Minister of Justice told the assembly: “I beg to move that this august assembly consider and approve the increment of remuneration for the commissioners, appointed by the President of the Republic to the Commission of Inquiry into the financial activities of public enterprises, bodies and offices as regards their dealing with former President Yahya Jammeh, to an additional amount of D200, 000 (two hundred thousand Dalasis) each.”
During the debate on the matte, honourables Muhammed Magassy, Alagie S Darboe and other members commended minister Tambadou for coming back to the NAMs for the formalisation.
Honourable Sulayman Saho, member for Baddibu Central said: “By looking at the motion it is self explanatory. We need to support the motion.”
