President Adama Barrow has donated D200, 000 to the Upper River Region (URR), the host of the on-going national youth conference and festival, Nayconf, to support the regions local organizing committee (LOC) .
The Governor of URR Fatou Jammeh Touray commended the head of state for the gesture, noting that it will help the organizing committee towards the smooth implementation of the national event especially feeding and accommodation.
“I will not be fair if I fail to inform the world the President’s effort on the development of youth in the country,” she said.
Madame Jammeh said the gesture demonstrated that President Barrow as a native of URR is concern with the welfare of his region just as he is of the entire country.
