The Banjul Nayconf team last week received mayoral aspirant Rohey Malick Lowe at the region’s camp in Basse.
According to Banjul Youth and sports president ML Bah, Madame Lowe made the surprise visit to check on the Banjul team and their welfare and participations in the youth conference and festival. “Her visit was both a motivation and inspiration for my region and it is first time a person seeking public office has shown this level commitment and interest in the youths.
“I think Rohey is genuinely interested in the Banjul matters for that I personally wish to thank her and her team,” Bah said.
Meanwhile the mayoral aspirant also met the national youth council chairman Kambi and officials from other regions and discussed with them on the general welfare of the participants.
The Rohey Lowe campaign team said yesterday that the trip to Basse was one of the aspirants desire to give support and morale boost to the youths from the capital and the nation at large.
