The president also revealed the campaign strategy of his NPP and allies which delivered the victory and also why his opponents got it wrong. He replied to criticisms about alleged unfair campaign methods and ended with a clarion call for all Gambians to rally around the flag and work together now that election is over. The full interview will be published in tomorrow’s special edition which features several articles on the awards.

Swaebou Conateh’s News and Report Magazine initiated the awards in 1992. Since the cessation of the publication of the magazine, the awards are now given by The Standard newspaper.
