Benin arrested 22 football officials over MRI disqualification

The Minster of Sports in Benin had promised that those responsible for the MRI disqualification of Benin from the 2017 CAN U17 qualifiers will be punished.
Meanwhile in a press release made public on Friday, the public prosecutor said that of the 22 people arrested in this case of the disqualification Squirrels cadets, 21 are prosecuted for forgery and use of false certificate, and complicity. And of the 21 people accused, 18 are placed under arrest warrant including eleven 11 players and 7 members of the Benin Football Federation and technical staff.
