The defender was suspended by the GFF for the rest of the season for allegedly attacking a match official.
In an exclusive interview with The Standard, Secretary General Drammeh said: “I am disappointed that this happened to Fedo because everyone agrees he is one of the most disciplined players in the entire GFF league. Having said that, we will study the matter carefully and we will come up with the right action to take and respond accordingly,” he said.
Asked to state his team’s position on the suspension, which also came with a fine for both the player and fans, Drammeh said: “I cannot say anything now as we are conducting our own investigation and we will come up with the right action if necessary.”
Last week the GGF organising committee banned the Biko captain for the rest of the season and fined him D2,000 for allegedly attacking a referee. Fans of the club too were fined D5,000 for allegedly using abusive language at the referee. It is not clear whether Biko has made any appeal which must be lodged within 24 hours after notification of the penalty.
