The leader of the United Democratic Party has confidently stated that the 2021 election will be a victory for the party.
Apparently surprised by the huge turn out at what was planned to be a lowkey event, Ousainu Darboe told the crowd to continue to be law abiding citizens and come together working towards 2021 as he laid the foundation of a new political bureau at Kwinella.
“As from today, when we leave here today, let us start working towards the objective of coming together as a massive force. Those claiming they are competing with UDP in Lower River Region should know from here that UDP has nobody to compete with in LRR,” he said.
Darboe said what he has in The Gambia no political leader has it and it is the Gambians who gave that to him. “So therefore, I must commend you for that. We don’t follow people to give them money to get together, not even this programme today. What I know is that UDP hired only four cars; the rest who came here they just came on their own accord because they know that this is their party marching to victory,” Darboe said.
He vowed that before 2021 election, the new political bureau will be inaugurated and that will be followed by a rally.
