Ousainu Darboe, the leader of the United Democratic Party has said unless Gambians fight what he called the new tyranny starting all over again, and defend democracy, nothing would be achieved as desired.
Addressing his supporters in Wellingara Saturday, Darboe warned that the reason Gambians stood up against Jammeh are coming all over again and what everyone should be ready is never to allow tyranny to grow in The Gambia.
Mr Darboe cited the composition of the Public Service Commission, PSC which he alleged includes some non-Gambians, saying that is against the constitution.
He also condemned the surge in unjustified sackings which he said are all hallmarks of the past dictatorship creeping in again.
He called on President Barrow to address this situation as soon as possible in conformity with the constitution.
Mr Darboe warned that the country cannot afford to be taken back to those dark days when the nation was governed on the whims and caprices of an individual.
