The National President of the United Democratic Party, Dembo ‘By Force’ Bojang, has yesterday parted ways with the party.
A terse resignation letter shared with The Standard from Mr Bojang informed the UDP Secretary General that his resignation takes effect Thursday 12th December 2019.
Mr Bojang could not be reached for further comments but his resignation came after his apparent cross-carpeting to President Adama Barrow.
Bojang, who also serves as Presidential adviser is the most senior member of the UDP to join President Barrow, who announced last week he will form a political party.
A veteran politician, Bojang was first elected as MP for Bakau for the National Convention Party in 1978 when he won a by-election after the death of BB Camara.
